Emily (Lukin) Haidemenos

Emily works for Sensata Technologies as a New Product Development (NPD) Quality Engineer. Prior to, she worked at Amphenol TCS as a New Product Introduction (NPI) Product Engineer. She even got to travel to China for work and see her product be manufactured from start to finish!
Fun Facts:
In addition to being Secretary and Vice President of SWE UML, Emily was also on UML’s Cross Country Team and both the Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Teams.
Education:
Favorite Places to be at UML: The UML track office and the old SWE room (on the third floor at the corner of Ball and Engineering)
At Sensata, she has had the opportunity to continue to mentor girls in STEM. She has started a STEM outreach mentoring program with local middle schools. With help from other Sensata employees, they bring a group of girls on site once a month for STEM lessons and mentoring sessions.
Furthermore, she is currently helping to revive the Women’s Group at Sensata. Their mission is similar to that of SWE: “To leverage diversity and strengths of women to ensure a competitive advantage for Sensata through networking, career development, and leadership opportunities."
Fun Facts:
- She is the proud momma of a poodle named Penny.
- Her dream job is to be a professional race car driver and she is obsessed with luxury sports cars.
- She has a six sigma black belt.

- Emily graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2012
- She then graduated with her Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Design and Manufacturing in 2014
